This 1 DAY Training Workshop which is held at our purposely developed and secure premises is designed to cover basic servicing on most motocross bikes, through a verbally instructed and demonstrated session, combined with practical exercises aimed at the beginner or intermediate to become confident and capable with their own motorcycle.
Ideal for people who are new to the sport of Motocross or just want to avoid making costly mistakes as they try to make the right decisions to improve their enjoyment of the sport.
Each participant must bring their own bike and its helpful if the bike is ‘clean’ – but don’t worry if not as proper ‘cleaning’ of your bike is covered in the Workshop and this allows us to get you started with the very first step of how to professionally look after your pride and joy!

Ever wanted to know how to service your bike?
Without getting to heavy or scary we are not talking about engine stripping, race tuning, complete rebuild type of knowledge gained by qualified mechanics; just simple, basic tasks like adjusting a chain, oil changing, air filter maintenance and how to carry out basic service checks before every ride.
Even if you don’t intend to work on your own bike on a regular basis, having that knowledge will make you more aware of your bike’s condition, its safety and the likely cost of paying someone to carry out that servicing, with a better understanding of what’s involved.
As part of our WORKSHOP COACHING course at Moto-X-Workshops we cover very basic service checks but we are constantly being asked to include additional training so that individuals can look after their bikes more effectively.
With this need in mind, we have produced a second course of training which provides more detailed areas of expertise such as Piston changing, Bearing replacement, Brake and Clutch servicing.
(This course is taught 1-2-1 and bookings are made to suit individuals, which could include ‘Evening’ classes and or weekends – Costing £25-00 per hour with a minimum of 2hrs per course required)
‘Basic’ servicing is easily achievable for most riders/owners and minimal tools are required. During the course, students will be encouraged to repeat the exercises on their own bike under supervision, which ultimately means that students could save the cost of the MXW course by servicing their own bike’s in the future!!
The course is usually run on the last Saturday of each month. Places are limited to a maximum of 3 bikes; this is to ensure that every person is able to get hands on experience under supervision.
The MXW ‘Workshop Coaching’ course is only £125 per adult
(Accompanying Children under 16yrs are free) and is run from 09.00hrs to around 17.00hrs each day.
** Workshops start promptly at 9am as we have a lot to cover so please arrive for 08.30hrs to unload your bike and complete registration.
** As places are limited it is recommended to book well in advance, although late bookings are sometimes available.
